French Breakfast Radish

These radishes seemed to pop up in no time at all, literally just a few days after being sown.

So now, after 10 days, this is what the seedlings look like.
10 day old French Breakfast Radish seedlings

The variety is called "French Breakfast" and should be longer than the normal spherical radishes that you buy in the shops.

I'm not a great fan of radishes, but my wife is, and I wanted to grow something that would go from seed to the plate quickly and easily with minimum of effort.  In fact the seed packet said "great for kids" which worked for me as I have the impatience of a child, and probably worse gardening skills.
